Welcome

Welcome to the Rawson & Perrin blog. Here you can find out what we're up to and more information about the things we make.

We might be making split cane fishing rods; traditional style floats such as Avons, Wagglers, Bobbers, Stick floats, landing nets, priests, boxes or anything else!

From time to time we may even fill you in with our own fishing conquests!

We hope you enjoy our blog.

Seven foot, Four weight, 3 Piece

Here is the latest rod that we have finished, a lovely 7' 4#, made from a flamed culm, with a burl reel seat and yellow wraps with black tipping.
It has not been fished as will be displayed at a game fair we are attending in the next month (as the below entry reads!) and hopefully will be sold to a local fishermen after that who will put it through it paces.

The bag needs finishing but this will be done this week.
I think the colours schemes complement each other very well and it perfectly matches the colour of the blank.

More news soon...
