Welcome

Welcome to the Rawson & Perrin blog. Here you can find out what we're up to and more information about the things we make.

We might be making split cane fishing rods; traditional style floats such as Avons, Wagglers, Bobbers, Stick floats, landing nets, priests, boxes or anything else!

From time to time we may even fill you in with our own fishing conquests!

We hope you enjoy our blog.

Update

Well it's been a while since our last update - and there's good reason for that!

Firstly a new addition to the Perrin family came into the world, slowing work slightly!

Then came the summer holidays - I myself had a week in Cornwall, I managed to do a bit of fishing, catching numerous pollack and wrasse and having a few close calls with mullet and bass. On return, work was back on at full speed.

We've been restoring several rods for people from lesser known makers to Aspindale's. As well as this and the usual orders, we have been trying to make as many 'show' rods as possible to take to Frampton Country Fair on the 12th September where we will have a stall with much of our merchindise (http://www.framptoncountryfair.co.uk/

We hope to see you there and for that day only we are doing a special 20% discount on all orders recieved either at the fair or online.

In addition, we have been developing some course rods, they're almost to the point where we're happy with them so watch this space for more information. The range will include a 10'6" float/light ledger rod and a longer barbel/carp/chub rod to begin with.

The website is in dire need of updating with more photos of our latest rods, hopefulyl I'll find some time to do this soon.

Cheers,
AR
