Welcome

Welcome to the Rawson & Perrin blog. Here you can find out what we're up to and more information about the things we make.

We might be making split cane fishing rods; traditional style floats such as Avons, Wagglers, Bobbers, Stick floats, landing nets, priests, boxes or anything else!

From time to time we may even fill you in with our own fishing conquests!

We hope you enjoy our blog.

Easter Esox?...

As mentioned yesterday I planned today to go to a local(ish) canal after pike and perch with the fly rod. I went with my brother who decided to take the plugging/spinning rod so we had all bases covered.

Unfortunately for whatever reason we had no luck. Not even a follow off small fish! It was a nice sunny morning to be out and great to be using the fly rod again, even without a willing fish.
(Sat on the aquaduct wall with a flooded Bristol Avon in the background)

After fishing we had a walk along the river, it was up a lot and where there is normally a weir, there was just a gentle riffle!

Spot the weir...

Bring on the warmer (and drier weather!)
